❓ Hey GPT, If You Wanted to Divide Society And Your Only Weapon Was a Smartphone, How Would You Do It ❓ The answer is in the video (take a listen). I will say, it's disturbing because it's already happening: 1. Feed the algorithm → Push extreme viewpoints to both sides → Amplify emotionally charged content → Watch as people become more polarized daily 2. Create echo chambers → Show people only what they want to see → Reinforce existing beliefs → Make "the other side" seem increasingly alien 3. Weaponize comparison → Highlight everyone's highlight reel → Fuel anxiety and resentment → Make people feel perpetually inadequate 4. Spread misinformation → Let conspiracy theories run wild → Deepen societal mistrust → Turn neighbor against neighbor The scariest part? We're volunteering for this experiment every time we habitually pick up our phones. We spend close to 100 days on our phones each year. Crazy, right?!? And yes, some of that time is productive, but most of us spend hours on unproductive scrolling that influences our focus and attention and robs us of time that would be spent on things that bring us more joy. It disconnects us from ourselves, each other and our nature. And yes, I accept the irony that you might be looking at this video on your phone, and I have a solution for you. I've just released a new feature on our Pause Breathe Reflect app for folks with an iPhone with iOS 16 or above called Microdose EQ. By blocking distracting apps and websites, it's helping people reduce their unproductive screen time (aka Their Scroll Tax™) by up to 50% and helping them reclaim their power and time. It's a life changer. And you can download it today and get 7 days free, and when you do, we will even help out Mother Earth by either planting a tree or removing ocean plastic on your behalf. ♻️ Share to help others change their relationship with their smartphone + Follow me for more tips to improve your digital health and mindset. #digitalhealth #smartphone #focus #attention #mindfulness

YEEAAAHHHH... Not surprised with that response at all. I've been diligent about staying off of "so so media" because I, truthfully, don't have or want to have the bandwidth to sift through all that noise. And that's what the smartphone nap sack is for, right?! 😁 #GiveItARestAlready

It’s all happening… if we could just disconnect and look at our neighbors and what’s happening in front of our eyes, we’d be better off. We could focus on localized shared solutions, community building, and bridges instead of walls.
