Well... this was awesome !? This week, I was invited to 10 Downing Street. It was a privilege to join the Prime Minister in celebrating the new and alumni cohorts of Tech Nation's Future 50. Sir Keir Starmer's support for businesses was encouraging. His words on entrepreneurs' immense value. How innovation drives national growth. How we strengthen the economy. And surrounded by the UK's most exciting founders… I was reminded of something important: The UK is a special place for entrepreneurs. Sure, like anywhere, there are challenges. But moments like this remind me of everything that's good about building here. 3 things that make the UK an excellent launchpad: 1. The access to capital 2. The generosity of networks 3. The strength of the community These kinds of networks have played a huge role in scaling Flash Pack, and in helping us dream even bigger as we scale over in the US. A particular highlight was meeting Anne Boden. Anne's journey building Starling Bank paved the way for so many women in tech, including me. We need more stories like hers. It was also a joy to meet Dominique Highfield, CFO of Bloom & Wild, and Timo Boldt from Gousto - leaders who've built with purpose, resilience, and a refreshingly honest view of what scaling really takes. Building a business is incredibly hard. But conversations like these make it easier. Huge thanks to Tech Nation for backing bold founders. And for creating space for moments like this!

For me, this location showcases everything that is cool and unique about Utah. Typically, America’s most popular tourist destinations – like LA or New York or Miami – are city-based. Utah is the opposite: it’s very outdoorsy, but at the same time, accessible. Growing up in Utah shaped who I am and how I live my life today. Being surrounded by epic landscapes meant that adventure was just part of my everyday. I learned early on how grounding and life-giving it is to be outside, to explore, to get lost (in a good way) and find wonder in the wild. I’m now a full-time nomad – living life on the road in a 5th wheel with my husband and dog – but I return to Utah often. People started discovering adventures closer to home. What makes any Flash Pack trip extraordinary isn't just the destination. It's the group dynamic. We've nailed our algorithm so that every Flashpacker travels with like-minded people at the same life stage. Creating connections that last long after the trip. When I tell people I DON’T run a travel company... They get very confused. "But you organise incredible trips, right?" Absolutely - we're experts at creating bucket list experiences. But there's something even more powerful at play. Flash Pack is a friendship company at heart. Travel is our secret weapon for accelerating the friendship-making process. We did TONS of research and discovered: Traditional friendship takes 200+ hours to form. Facetimes. Coffee dates. Weekly dinners. Sporadic meetups. Back-and-forth text exchanges. And yet... Nothing comes close to the experience of travelling together. Whether it's a weekend, 5 days or 2 weeks... The shared sense of adventures The late-night conversations The inside jokes They accelerate connection like nothing else. And you leave with a closeness you can't explain. It sounds cliche...
