Elite chefs. Next Level Footwear.

We started in the kitchen because we lived in the kitchen. Now, we're bringing together the industry's most respected chefs to take our work footwear to the next level. The Snibbs Culinary Collective isn't about fancy titles – it's about real experience from professionals who know exactly what 12+ hours on your feet feels like. Working directly with the best in the business, we're creating footwear that stands up to the demands of world-class kitchens.

After four decades of redefining excellence in professional kitchens, from founding La Brea Bakery to earning multiple James Beard Awards, Nancy Silverton knows what it takes to stay on your feet. As the force behind Mozza Restaurant Group's acclaimed kitchens, she's spent countless hours perfecting her craft while managing the physical demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment. His decades of experience as a chef, restaurateur, and culinary explorer have exposed him to every possible kitchen scenario and challenge. Having logged thousands of miles in professional kitchens across the globe, Andrew understands that great food starts with a solid foundation – and that means footwear that can handle everything from 16-hour shifts to wet, slippery conditions.

Hedley & Bennett

Rooted in a long-standing friendship between Snibbs’ founder Daniel Shemtob and Hedley & Bennett's founder Ellen Bennett, our partnership with H&B is dear to our hearts and invaluable to the industry. Their deep understanding of how equipment needs to perform in professional kitchens has revolutionized the apron industry, and now they're bringing that same practical expertise to footwear. Having already mastered the art of combining functionality with professional-grade durability, Hedley & Bennett's insights into kitchen-tested gear are helping us create shoes that meet the exacting standards of professional chefs.

Karen Akunowicz

As the chef-owner of Fox & the Knife and Bar Volpe, Karen Akunowicz lives the daily reality of running high-energy kitchens. Her hands-on approach to leadership means she's still in the trenches, experiencing firsthand the physical demands of kitchen life. A James Beard Award winner who started from the ground up, Karen knows that great kitchen performance requires gear that can handle the heat, pace, and precision of professional cooking. Her practical experience and commitment to excellence make her the perfect partner in developing footwear that truly serves kitchen professionals.

Daniel Shemtob

A chef, entrepreneur, and industry disruptor, Daniel Shemtob has spent his career pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in and out of the kitchen. From winning Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race to building award-winning restaurants, he’s experienced firsthand the physical demands of culinary work. After a slip and fall in the kitchen caused him to miss the opening of his restaurant, the award-winning chef realized just how overlooked proper footwear was in the culinary world. This event shaped his belief that professional footwear needed a major upgrade. That’s why he co-founded Snibbs — to design shoes that work as hard as the people who wear them.

Dr. Jason Snibbe

World-renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jason Snibbe brings unmatched medical insight to Snibbs. As a medical pioneer, he’s spent decades helping people move better — from elite athletes to everyday professionals (and yes, even Kris Jenner, as seen on The Kardashians). His passion for anatomy, precision, and long-term health is baked into every design detail. As the official orthopedic surgeon for the LA Clippers and a consultant to teams like the Lakers and Kings, Dr. Snibbe knows performance starts from the ground up. His expertise ensures Snibbs shoes don’t just feel good — they’re built to support the people who are on their feet all day.
