This week, we hosted UK marine media at a press event at the UKSA in Cowes, to fully showcase our new Dynamic range and get the journalists to try it out for themselves. A revolution in sailing gear, Dynamic is the result of two years of development and testing to create the stretchiest, most lightweight and compact kit there is, whilst still retaining the ultimate waterproof and breathability ratings for exceptional performance and durability. In honour of International Women’s Day, we are shining a spotlight on some truly inspiring women in sailing who work closely with Henri-Lloyd. These women have not only made their mark in the world of sailing, but have also demonstrated remarkable dedication, skill and passion for the sport and we celebrate their achievements and contributions to the sailing community. Marta Penarrubia: “Today, women play a more significant role in the world of sailing, thanks to the introduction of mixed categories and the growing number of competitions that require female sailors to be part of the fleet.” Jaz Turner: “I face many a ‘no’ in my life; I do my best to turn them into ‘yes’.” Maggie Adamson: “Sailing gives you a real feeling of freedom and independence.” Holly Manvell: “For me, sailing is a blend of family, community, and at times, complete solitude. It’s a space that brings me peace, presence, and a deep sense of self-awareness. From that place, I feel empowered to take on anything - whether on land or at sea.” Lou Clayton: “The women ahead of me that have forged out careers in what is still an incredibly male dominated industry empower me to keep pushing on myself.
